I am committed to providing the good customers of Andersen Forge with reliable, hardworking knives for under the price normally charged for fully handcrafted knives from well known knife makers.
I have found this to be possible with the introduction of the fully hand-forged "integral" knife. This knife utilizes the original shape of the Mother bar of round stock for the "bolster" area. This still provides a finger choil area for safety and also allows for the transition from the knife blade to the handle area.
As are most of the knives from Andersen Forge, the hidden tangs are fully drawn out and threaded for full through-tang construction. This integrates the handle and guard area into one unit in conjunction with the blade.
How a knife can be made stronger has yet to be proven to me!
These lesser priced integral knives will be available on a "first come - first served" basis.
I will continue to use all of my forging and heat treating expertise as well as the highest grade materials I can acquire.
