| The "Defender" |
| SOLD! A knife I have dubbed my "Defender". W1 blade steel forged down from some 1 1/8" round stock. I've really been chasing my hamons around the shop lately, but was totally successful on this attempt! This was etched and hand-rubbed to 1200 and the hamon is nicely subtle, yet distinctive, but still beyond my photographic boundaries. Anyway, satin, double stainless guard backed up by a solid piece of 100 year old Bakelite (Catalin). I have a pretty good stash of this but don't dip into it very often. Oh, and a 1/2 blade clip. Yes, take-down. 6 inch blade and 10 3/4" overall.

Rosewood and Ivory Fighter SOLD! This knife is one of a series of three Fighters I made for Blade Show 2008. This was forged from my heavy stock 5160. The Indan Rosewood handle, with Ivory inlays, was created in a fixed asssembly. Fittings are stainless steel. I wish all of my handles could be made out of either Bolivian Rosewood or African Blackwood! --------------------------

Ebony Integral SOLD! I really enjoy making these Integrals. This one was forged from a 7/8" round W1 drill rod. Then, I heat treated it with clay backing for a nice hamon. I had initially started the assembly with a piece of Blackwood, but didn't like the outcome. I dug into my handle material safe and found a old piece of Ebony that I have had for about 5 years. This is the result! The "bolster" area and spine are polished and the blade "flats" are hand rubbed to expose the hamon. ---------------------

| Russian Olive "Spike Camp" |
| Russian Olive Burl "Spike Camp" SOLD! I forged this blade down from a 1 1/8" round W1 drill rod. The blade was heat treated with clay backing for a very pronounced hamon. I see very little of this wonderful handle material used which is stabilized Russian Olive Burl. It is VERY dense and has a unique and random grain that I enjoy. The stainless guard and pommel screw are for take-down purposes. -------------------------
Red Mallee Root Bowie SOLD! This is some WILD stuff!! Here is some Red Mallee Root I got from Australia and then had stabilized. Unbelievable grain in this material. Very, very dense. The clipped Bowie blade was forged from heavy 5160 stock and taken to an 800 grit hand-rubbed satin finish. Faceted and selectively polished stainless steel fittings are assembled in a Take-down configuration. Rather than my normal "skull-crusher" pommel nut, I made this one much more flush fitting for a cleaner profile for those who prefer this look. Stop my and see me at the show!!

| Ironwood Bowie |
| IRONWOOD BOWIE SOLD! This is an Ironwood Bowie with a long clip. 9 1/2" blade forged from large stock 5160 and selectively hardened. Hot-blued steel take-down fittings, with polished flutes and facets, mated to a really clean piece of Desert ironwood. 15 inches overall length. ----------------------
W2 Blackwood Bowie SOLD! If I could, without upset from my customers, and being accused of duplication, I would make all of my knives with African Blackwood! It can be difficult to work with, because of its density, but it's worth the extra effort! I got some really nice hamon activity on this blade that was forged from heavy W2 stock and clay heat-treated. The handle was hand-filed in a faceted form to match the faceted stainless steel fittings. Take-down assembly. -------------------------

| Cross Grain Maple Bowie |
| Spalted Maple Short Bowie SOLD! Soon to become one of my favorite handle materials of all time! This material is "manipulated" by knife collector and enthusiast Larry Bailey. It is a cross-grained cut maple that has been spalted and stabilized. The knife is a take-down Bowie with truly heavy hot-blued mild-steel fittings with satin and polished surfaces to catch the light - just right! Hand-rubbed 5160 blade. -------------------------
Spalted Maple Hunter SOLD! This hunter was forged down from 1 1/8 inch W1 drill rod. Also, it was clay quenched for some fantastic hamon activity! I got the handle material from fellow knifemaker Peter Martin about a year ago. I sell quite a few of this model and simply call it the "Andersen Forge Hunter". This consistantly sells for $450.00. I had planned to ask for more on this one, due to the W1 and clay treatment, but the handle ended up with a very few tiny little voids right up on the spine that I was unable to completely remove. As a result, I have decided to sell this for the common price I normally charge for the "Andersen Forged Hunter" However, it will NOT be available until show opening at the Blade Show. -------------------------

| Ironwood Hunter |
| Desert Ironwood Hunter SOLD! Quite honestly, one of those knives that I am most proud of. Extremely accurate in all of it dimensions and symmetry. Fantastic fit and finish. The Desert ironwood turned out to be very unique as well. The W1 blade was clay-quenched for a really nice hamon and hand-rubbed to 800 grit. Stainless steel fittings in a Take-down assembly. ---------------------------------

Blackwood "Street Fighter" SOLD! This Fighter was one of a series of three knives made for the Blade Show, 2008. It was SOLD prior to the show. Forged from heavy stock 5160, created in a take-down assembly with stainless steel fittings. Beautiful piece of African Blackwood for the handle. -------------------------

Blackwood and Ivory Fighter SOLD! This knife is one of a series of three made for the Blade Show, 2008. It was forged down from my heavy stock 5160. The knife was then created in a Take-down assembly with hot-blued mild steel hardware. The beautiful handle was filed from a piece of African Blackwood. Also included are two oval inlays of Mammoth Ivory. -------------------------

Mid-sized Bubinga Bowie SOLD! Every now and then I make a knife that may not appeal all that excellently to my customers or new-comers to Andersen Forge, yet is one that I feel truly shows my abilities and attention to detail. This is one of those. I really like this knife. A beautiful piece of Stabilized Curly Bubinga, that I filed to an octagonally faceted handle. All fittings are stainless for the Take-down assembly. 4 1/4" unsharpened clip on a 7 1/2" blade.

| Russian Olive "Andersen Forge Hunter" |

Russian Olive "Andersen Forge Hunter" SOLD! If you are looking for the perfect example of a hunting knife from Andersen Forge, this is the ticket! A size smaller than the "Spike Camp", yet stout enough to handle the biggest of "normal" chores often required of a mid-sized belt knife. 5 1/2" blade, built in a non-take-down assembly. 5160 differentially heat treated and mated with a great piece of Russian Olive Burl. Bo good to yourslef and your friends - get an Andersen Forge Hunter!!

Broken Hill Gidgee Bowie. SOLD! Tell you a secret!! Shhhhhhh! I spent 2 days on that guard! Yep, 2 days filing and shaping it and shaping the transition to the handle. Some might consider that a little extreme, but that butt cap has 8 facets, and the handle has 12! Yet, they meet perfectly? Gotta see it to believe it. Anway, the handle material is a choice piece of Broken Hill Gidgee I got from a friend in Australia. That faceted guard and butt cap are hot-blued mild steel, as is the take-down finial. The 10 1/2 inch blade was differentially heat treated, has a 5 inch clip, and shows some incredible transition zones. Over length of 15 1/2 beautiful inches.
